The camp is mainly powered
by solar energy. Houses are designed to be
comfortable and functional. Each of the four huts
is equipped with its own water fountain and two
beds, which allows for a maximum of eight guests.
Two separate showers and two toilets warrant the
necessary privacy.
Ideally, a visiting group consists of four people.
Regardless of your number, however, you will always
enjoy the privilege of staying exclusively at Camp
Syncro and receive individual attention. Unless
arrangements have been made accordingly, you will
not meet other guests at the camp during your
stay.
Enjoy the solitude and timeless beauty of a
magnificent landscape, the daily activities of the
Ovahimba tribe, life in and along the river, magic
circles and starry nights...
It is advisable to spend at least two, better
three nights at the camp in order to fully benefit
from the various aspects of our daily programs.
Your host, Koos Verwey, has been living in the
Marienfluss for the past eight years and thus
gained intimate and extensive knowledge of the area
and its inhabitants. You will be able to take
advantage of his in-depth experience when meeting
with the Ovahimba, driving or strolling through the
side valleys of the Marienfluss or taking a bath in
a natural whirlpool next to the rapids.
