Gross Barmen Hot Springs Resort:- is built on a site of one of the earliest mission stations in Namibia and is a popular weekend destination especially for Windhoekers, as well as for tourists driving north or to the coast. Less than 100 km from Windhoek and some 24 km west of Okanhandja, it is also ideal for a day outing. The healing waters of this well-appointed and spacious spa offer pleasure and rlief to visitors seeking cures for various ills.

The main attraction at Gross Barmen is the strong mineral spring with its revitalizing and health-giving water.The huge glass-enclosed thermal hall houses a communal thermal bath with massage jets, a sunken bath with a waterfall, reclining chairs for rest and recreation and a refreshment kiosk. Water from the mineral spring has a temperature of about 65 degrees Celsius, which is cooled to about 40 degrees for the thermal pool.

IMPORTANT NOTICE dated 03 May 2006: Namibia Wildlife Resorts Ltd. which operates this resort has imposed the following payment requirements: a 10% non-refundable deposit of the room rate is due latest 10 days after reservation is made. The remaining balance also non-refundable is due 55 days before arrival. In case of change in reservation the 10% non-refundable deposit for the original reservation is forfeited.
